How To Cook Summer Berries Galette

  • Start by preparing all ingredients.
  • Preparing the pastry crust. 
  • Combine farmer cottage cheese, egg, vegetable oil, sugar, salt in a mixing bowl, use a spatula. If you use regular cottage cheese take the blender and make it a smooth consistency.
  • Add the flour with baking powder and mix it with a spatula until combined. Gather the dough into a ball and cover, or wrap it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Baking summer berries gallete.
  • Roll out the dough into a circle 2-3 mm thick.
  • Sprinkle 1 tbsp of corn starch on the middle of the dough and then place the berries on it. Fold the edges of the dough toward the center of the pie.
  • Sprinkle berries with sugar on top.
  • Brush the edges with egg yolk, transfer the galette on a baking sheet. Preheat oven for 350 F, then bake for 30-40 min.

  • 180-200 g flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 500 g berries

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
