The flavor of the cauliflower really comes through because the cauliflower is not drenched with heavy batter. When fried, the cauliflower has a moist, surprisingly meaty texture inside with a light crispy texture outside.

How To Cook Pan Fried Cauliflower Recipe

  • This simple recipe requires a few ingredients listed below.
  • In a large pot, heat some water, add salt and bring to a boil. Add the cauliflower florets and cook until tender, for about 3 – 5 minutes, then drained them.
  • Make batter.
  • In a bowl mix well: eggs, sour cream, flour, salt, garlic powder, turmeric.
  • Fried cauliflower.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the egg mixture (really mix it around in there)
  • heat about 2-4 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet, and make sure the oil thinly coats the bottom of the skillet. You might need more or less oil, depending on the size of the skillet.
  • Place the cauliflower florets into the hot oil and fry without disturbing them for about 3 minutes, or until the underside is a nice golden brown.

  • 500-600g cauliflower

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tbsp sour cream

  • 3 tbsp flour

  • salt to taste

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric

  • vegetable oil for fry
